To celebrate Tuckie's new-found skill........a few pictures of the busy bee on the move. :)

Our sweet Tuckie turned 9 months old this past week. He still is NOT crawling. He doesn't like to be on his belly so he gets around by sliding on his hiney. OR...he demands in Tucker-terms that Thomas bring him a toy. Tuck is finally getting more teeth (the top 2). He got the bottom 2 at 4 months but has had a bit of a dry spell. He's had all the symptoms and pain, but no teeth...FOR MONTHS. Poor kid. Tucker still won't really eat baby food, but he does now like a lot of table food. He's agreed to eat cheese eggs and ham. His favorite food might be chicken-pot-pie. He can put that stuff away! His other tricks include waving goodbye and pulling up if he can get a good grip on something. Matt thinks Tuck might walk before he crawls. Who knows?!

Today we ventured into the Dollar Store and there on aisle 1 was a top-of-the-line microfiber D-U-S-T-E-R. Thomas, who dusts our house almost daily, screamed in delight, "Oh mom, LOOK!" I totally gave in and put the lovely duster in our buggy. All throughout the store Thomas just kept RAVING about his new duster, thanking me profusely for his gift. Yes, I got several funny looks from other "concerned" shoppers. Child labor laws. Thomas fell asleep in the car on the way home and when I carried him in the house, he began to mumble "where's my duster? May I go dust? Is it still in da car?"

Tomcat has become a huge Dukes of Hazzard fan, and sings the theme song many times a day. He has asked me to explain the lyrics over and over. Today he happened to see the 1997 reunion movie. It was so sad to see the much-aged Dukes brawling in the Boar's Nest. Thomas said, "There they go 'fightin' the system'." Glad he's applying the theme song to the action! He then asked me if we could watch the "real" Duke boys instead. I guess even a 4 year old knows there is something pitiful about a reunion movie. He then asked why they were STILL wearing the same clothes (20 years later). haha

While eating his chicken-pot-pie tonight, he wanted to make sure that he wasn't eating "those things I not like, marshmallows!" For the record, he LOVES marshmallows and hates mushrooms.

Yet another way to celebrate Tom's 4th and Tuck's 7 month birthdays was a trip to the doctor for check ups and shots! How many nurses does it take to give 8 shots and a finger prick to the Clinton brothers? THREE!!!! No, Thomas didn't have to be put in a straight jacket but the shrieking and wailing was probably heard miles away. Ironically, the "show" Tomcat put on helped Tucker make it through his own ordeal with minimal crying. Apparently Tuckie found Thomas rather entertaining.
