Today is Thomas Roy Clinton's "GOTCHA DAY!" Four years ago today, here was our blog entry from Bogotá:

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2007 4:48 PM, EST

What an eventful day for the Clintons…all three of us! We arrived at AYUDAME around and didn’t have to wait long before we met Thomas’s doctor. She was so nice and very thorough. She explained that there was a little concern with Thomas’s hip, and as only a precautionary requirement, we are to keep him in his brace until we get back to the US. The brace is not fun and makes it hard to hold, feed, and change Thomas, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. The doctor also reported Thomas weighs 14 lbs 4 oz and is 24 inches long. We were also told Thomas is “big like his daddy.” Um? Then, they told me it was good I was big too so I could carry chubby Thomas. Great!

About 40 minutes after we arrived, the staff brought Thomas down to us, dressed in his white sweater and khaki pants. VERY HANDSOME. On top of the brace, Thomas had his shots yesterday and wasn’t feeling too well. The doctor gave him Tylenol, but he spit it back up on his new outfit. Despite not feeling his best, he is very sweet and calm and really enjoyed the car ride back to Hotel Paris (they don’t use any car seats here, so Thomas got to ride in my lap). Here at Hotel Paris, the staff decorated our door with a “Welcome Thomas” sign, and brought us a crib and baby tub.

We were told at the orphanage that Thomas is “a little spoiled and ONLY likes bottles with yellow nipples….not white, blue or clear…YELLOW. So, I guess he’s picky like his mom. He didn’t want his bottle, but just ate about 3 oz at We also took Thomas for his first stroller ride to the grocery store…to buy formula. He really loved being outside and is very observant.

Matt can get Thomas to smile EVERY TIME a request is made. I thought little boys were supposed to bond with their mothers first! Not Thomas. He’s been sitting on Matt’s lap like he’s king of the world. I just caught Matt teaching Thomas about his new wrench (yes, it’s a rattle in case you were scared). Right now, Thomas is enjoying his new swing, which he likes to be on HIGH.When he wakes up, it will be time for his Tylenol again.

Wish us luck on our first night. YIKES!

Sweet Tuck-a-roo turns 10 months old today. Unlike Aunt Staci, he did learn to crawl before walking. :) He's just now starting to pull up and cruise a little, but he's focusing most of his energy on cutting 3 teeth at once and talking. His words, used sporadically, are bye, hey, hello, mama, and according to Matt....dada. Not sure about the last one. :) He has eaten 3 lima beans this month....the most veggies ever. He really likes to play ball and mess with the electrical outlets. He LOVES the drum that was given to his brother years ago (thanks EC girls). He also has a musical tool box (thanks Uncle Eric and Aunt April) that he bangs on constantly. Tucker is a music man for sure. The other day in the grocery store he was JAMMIN' in the buggy to the Food Lion radio. haha!

Anyone want to guess what's going through Emma's mind as she's examined by Dr. Tuck? haha! The other photos include a trip to Monkey Joe's jump center (Tuck's first visit...yes he LOVED the fastest slide), and Pappy Clinton's birthday party.
