Just a few photos from the last month. The first photo is of the boys and their great uncle Rick Jones (Nana Clinton's brother). There's a shot of Thomas doing his homework (which he LOVES to do...wish this feeling would last the next 14 years). Friday nights are often popcorn and movie nights. Tucker can eat his weight in popcorn, just like Big Brother. We also had some birthday fun with Nana, Homecoming at church, and a super cute picture of cousin Mac in an outfit he was OH so proud of. Sweet!

Week One of Thomas's school year is complete. Somehow, he made it all three days. Can we do five in a row? Not sure. ha! Tucker came down with not only Thomas's cold, but also a nasty stomach virus and cut a new tooth. He has slept very little since Wednesday. Needless to say we all need some rest this weekend. Thomas is feeling much better (although tired) and Tucker did eat his first real food in 2 days...thank goodness he's ADDICTED to animal cookies. Can't resist them.
Thomas hasn't said too much about school, but has said he likes it fine. He'll tell us the most at random moments...like the fact that he has a tall friend, but hasn't thought to ask his name yet. The tall friend did not sit with him on the bus today....a GIRL did instead. Hum. He claims he forgot her name. Yeah right. He likes his music teacher and in art he PAINTED but only with red. I asked him if he'd please drop out of school and stay home with me again and he answered, "But Mom, I've GOT to learn. I'm not a daddy yet." I THINK he uses daddy as a term for adult, but maybe he thinks daddy's are brainless. Matt was concerned over which way to interpret the remarks. :)
I uploaded a few photos from the last few weeks of summer.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers and well wishes as Thomas began his 1st ever school year. He's been sick for 2 days and hasn't slept much (ok, me neither) due to LOTS of coughing. However, without a fever we let him go on to school. He barely said goodbye when we got there; he was VERY happy to see his classroom(as was Tuck to be an only child for the morning). However Thomas's bus, according to him, took "da wrong path home" and thus he was on the bus TWO hours. For the first time in his life, he was speechless. I had a hard time getting anything out of him at all, but over the last hour he has finally said that he had gummies for snack, you can't throw rocks on the playground, and you must be quiet in the hall. Some "childrens" were bad. 1 child cried. 1 is VERY tall. Stay tuned.....

Tuck-a-roo turns 15 months old today! He went from no walking to basically zooming in a week. He's still a bit unsteady on his feet and thus owns a few new lumps on the head. Thomas is most proud of his brother and takes the credit for teaching him this skill. Tucker has also started watching t.v.....something Thomas didn't do until at least the age of 3. The "sofa photos" are of all the boys watching "How to Build a John Deere Combine." At least it keeps them happy while I cook!
Let's see....a few funny conversations:
Brooke: Thomas, what gift should we give Aunt Katelyn's twin babies when they arrive?
Thomas: TUCKER! He can play with 'dose babies.
What a convenient way to become an only child again! Although flattered, Aunt Katelyn said having two was enough and Tucker was truly not needed. haha!
While studying a book on US Presidents....
Brooke: Thomas, this man was our third president and has YOUR name...Thomas Jefferson.
Thomas: Hum. 'Dat man looks like Bo Duke. 'Dey got da same hair!
I'm pretty sure in the history of our great nation NO ONE has ever realized that TJ and Bo Duke styled their do's the same.

Happy Birthday Aunt Julie! Here are the photos you requested for your birthday. haha!
Tom & Tuck had a busy June. Both boys attended our Vacation Bible School. Thomas enjoyed being with his friends and Tucker liked the pretty nursery workers who doted on him for hours each evening.
Thomas's big news of the month is that he is now enrolled in the 4-K program at Hickory Grove-Sharon Elementary. He is BEYOND thrilled! It's a small school with wonderful people, so we are excited that Thomas's "formal" education will begin in August. The program is 5 days per week, but only 2.75 hours per day. Perfect! I bet Tucker will enjoy being an only child those few hours too.
Thomas is now swimming (it only took a few lessons for him to catch on). Tuckie is FINALLY walking....some. He would still rather crawl or (better yet) be toted around. The fellows got to spend a little time on the beach this week. What a treat. Thomas maximized his time by darting from the ocean, to the sand, to the pool, and then back to the ocean again. Tucker refused to step into the ocean but did finally take a spin on the lazy river since that activity could be done on his mom's lap. We called home and told Matt that Tucker wasn't too into the sand and waves...which pleased Matt who also dislikes the beach in the summer. Oh well. At least one son took after me! Thomas took after his dad though when it comes to a love of heights. He demanded to ride the tall Ferris wheel beside our hotel. I got SCARED when we got stuck on the top (as they loaded passengers). It was windy and I could see lightning over the ocean. I blasted Thomas for moving a little in his seat and he responded with, "Let's just have fun, friend." haha!
