Thomas has been busy earning some "ice cream" money this summer by shoveling sawdust. He's doing a good job of keeping the mill area cleaned up for Matt. Tom is put out with Tucker who refuses to help (since he still won't walk!!). Thomas is super bossy and prefers everyone to be working, and not just watching.

In other news, Thomas went this week for his K-4 screening test. I didn't get to talk to a teacher but THOMAS reported that he had done perfectly. "I knew all da answers, Mom, AND I used my BEST manners." So modest. We find out in about 2 weeks if he gets into the program. It's only 2.5 hours per day and the teacher is wonderful, so we're hopeful for his sake. He's SO excited about starting school. His #1 goal though is to ride the bus (which he'd get to do b/c there's one just for 4 year olds). haha!

Oh...the funniest photo of Tucker is his latest attempt at fruit eating. Those strawberries were frozen so he actually ate about 8 bites. A record! Once they got mushy, he was done!

We're doing fine here, other than last week's big storm. Our house was unhurt, but there was a lot of tree damage around here and at my parents' farm. We lost power for a full day, which thrilled Thomas. In his own words, he was excited about "da damage dat needs to be cleaned up." That boy loves to haul debris. He's been pretending to be a skid steer and working super hard making burn piles. I doubt many people would agree that ANYTHING good came out of that storm, but Thomas sure thinks so. As for Tucker, he's still refusing to walk, but he is talking a little. He has several animal sounds down pat and just this week he said puppy and Emma. Now if he'd talk consistently...we'd be set!

Just a few photos of my sweet little Easter bunnies! :)

Sweet baby Tucker turned 1 this weekend. He had a marvelous time celebrating with his family and friends. Thanks to everyone for their thoughtful messages. I relayed them all!

Here are a few photos to enjoy from his birthday train ride, and family party at the park in Lowrys. Thomas planned many of the party details, including the menu and where the party should be held. He did a great job and may have a future career as an event planner.

Happy memories!

So how can these pictures have all been taken in the same week? Answer: highs in the 80's to highs in the 40's. Crazy spring weather! On a funny note, it was lightning the other day and Thomas IMMEDIATELY said, "Mom! Does the toilet work?" Little country boy....he's caught on that storms might cause power outages which = trouble.

Tuckie hit the big 11 months today. Let's see....he now has 5 teeth, can crawl like the wind, is cruising, and is making 4 animal sounds SOMETIMES when asked! He still won't eat fruit and veggies. :( I really do try though!

Thomas has been extra interested in the Japan disaster. I told him to stop worrying because we live too far from the ocean for a tsunami to hit us. With his big eyes wide, he said, "Mom! I'm not worried about a wave, I'm worried about the people in Japan!" So sweet. He's also asked this week if Japan has missionaries who can tell people about Jesus, and he wanted to know if God has lungs?!

Included in the photos is a picture of my cute nephew, the boys helping their dad, and the results of Thomas's fishing trip. He ate what he caught!
