What an eventful day for the
About 40 minutes after we arrived, the staff brought Thomas down to us, dressed in his white sweater and khaki pants. VERY HANDSOME. On top of the brace, Thomas had his shots yesterday and wasn’t feeling too well. The doctor gave him Tylenol, but he spit it back up on his new outfit. Despite not feeling his best, he is very sweet and calm and really enjoyed the car ride back to Hotel Paris (they don’t use any car seats here, so Thomas got to ride in my lap). Here at Hotel Paris, the staff decorated our door with a “Welcome Thomas” sign, and brought us a crib and baby tub.
We were told at the orphanage that Thomas is “a little spoiled and ONLY likes bottles with yellow nipples….not white, blue or clear…YELLOW. So, I guess he’s picky like his mom. He didn’t want his bottle, but just ate about 3 oz at We also took Thomas for his first stroller ride to the grocery store…to buy formula. He really loved being outside and is very observant.
Matt can get Thomas to smile EVERY TIME a request is made. I thought little boys were supposed to bond with their mothers first! Not Thomas. He’s been sitting on Matt’s lap like he’s king of the world. I just caught Matt teaching Thomas about his new wrench (yes, it’s a rattle in case you were scared). Right now, Thomas is enjoying his new swing, which he likes to be on HIGH.When he wakes up, it will be time for his Tylenol again.
Wish us luck on our first night. YIKES!
